Siegwerk is committed to social projects worldwide

Sustainability

Our activities in the field of corporate social responsibility (CSR) focus on disadvanteged children and young people.

Commitment to society is part of the core values of Siegwerk. This is what the family stands for, centered around Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Alfred Keller, representing the sixth-generation of owners of Siegwerk. This relates not only to a strong feeling of responsibility for our own employees, but has also always applied to the immediate neighborhoods around our locations. For generations, the family has especially had the wellbeing of children at heart and has long been involved in local schools and orphanages. Parallel to the internationalization of Siegwerk, this social commitment has been extended to our global subsidiaries.

In addition to multiple local activities, in 2010, Siegwerk began a close partnership with SOS Children’s Village worldwide which is a non-governmental organization focused on supporting children without parental care and families at risk. Together we support relevant projects worldwide. We call these our Lighthouse Projects.

In 2018, Siegwerk became a partner in the YouthCan! initiative of SOS - the global partnership for youth employability to promote decent work for young people without parental care or at risk of losing it.

In general, we always support projects around our locations, so that our employees can get involved in their local communities.

Lighthouse Projects

SOS Children’s Villages

Corporate Social Responsibility has a long tradition at Siegwerk. The social projects that the company gets involved in are fully targeted on the welfare of children and young adults. In addition to multiple local activities, in 2010, Siegwerk began a close partnership with SOS Children’s Village Worldwide to support relevant projects worldwide. We call these our Lighthouse Projects. Over the past few years, the partnership has succeeded in improving the lives of many children and adolescents at several SOS Children’s Village facilities.

Responsibility is an integral part of our corporate culture. Siegwerk’s social commitment to children has been a matter of course for us for many years and something on which employees repeatedly enjoy working on a voluntary basis.

At Siegwerk our people are at the heart of everything we do. This translates to our Corporate Social Responsibility commitment to give back to the communities we serve.

Our Siegwerkers around the globe volunteer their time and know-how to help children and young adults in need prepare themselves for a better future.

Our local projects

Think global, act local

Siegwerk supports its employees in taking an active part in social activities. Our employees all over the world show great commitment and work, for example, together with various charitable organizations, support local social initiatives or sponsor schools.

YouthCan!

Fostering employability of young people.

Siegwerk has also become a partner in the global YouthCan! employability initiative of SOS. The goal of this project is to empower young people and help them prepare for the transition to independence and the job market. Siegwerk allows young people to gain practical experience in a real working environment. Committed local Siegwerk employees help to develop the professional qualifications of the area youth – working as role models, trainers and mentors.
