Young adults from SOS Children's Villages visit Siegwerk Brazil

On September 11, Siegwerk Brazil had the honor of receiving a visit from the participants of JUNTOS SABEMOS MAIS!, the program in partnership with Siegwerk and SOS Children's Villages in Brazil. 

The visit of the young people is already part of the company's calendar and is always one of the most exciting days of the program. After having met some of the company's employees during the circuit of lectures, when Siegwerk volunteers went to the local SOS Children's Village, this was the opportunity for Siegwerk employees meet the youngsters at the Diadema site and show them the how Siegwerk Brazil operates. 

For this year’s session, the Technology departments were divided into stations, each representing a department, and the young people were divided into groups that visited each station in rotation. The stations visited were: Technology Development, Application Technology, Quality Control, Technical Assistance, Global Analytical Network (GAN) and Colorimetry.

“Welcoming the teenagers to our site was an inspiring and enriching experience. Having the opportunity to add to the development of young people and share knowledge with them is something really special,” said Mayara Siqueira, Laboratory Technician at the Colorimetry station.

After lunch, the young people also visited the Supply Chain Management department, which was organized into stations: 

• Receiving and Warehouse
• Production Planning and Control (PPC) and Shipment
• Production

“Participating in an initiative that can contribute to the development of the next generation is rewarding. It was a great pleasure to be able to make a small contribution to these young people who are the future of our country,” said Marcos Nunes, PPC and Logistics Coordinator.

To close the visit, the administrative departments organized a session where the young people, divided into groups representing companies, had the opportunity to:

- Determine the sale price of some products;
- Simulate the sale of these products, and 
- Calculate the company's result after the sale (or not) of the products they had in stock. 

“It was a very busy day at the site and certainly full of the joy that the young people brought with them, for being here, and for being so well accepted by all the company's employees,” said Cibele Smosinski, Assistant to Brazil Cluster Head, and Coordinator of Social Activities at Siegwerk Brazil. 

At the end of the visit, all the young people received a kit with a Siegwerk bag and notebook and a photo frame with the photo they took at the beginning of the day, allowing them  to remember this special day forever.
