SOS Children's Villages youth visit Siegwerk Brazil's site

One of the most anticipated moments for participants of the Together We Know More! program is the visit to Siegwerk Brazil’s manufacturing facility. The experience sparks curiosity, creates excitement, and gives young participants a unique opportunity to connect the knowledge gained throughout the program with the reality of a corporate environment. This visit was aligned with SOS Children′s Villages broader Youth Can! Campaign.

This year, the visit took place on September 11, welcoming 16 young participants. They had the opportunity to explore the company's facilities and gain firsthand insight into how different areas work together to drive the business forward.

Throughout the program′s presentations, participants were introduced to a variety of topics and gained an understanding of the departments that make up Siegwerk's operations. During the site visit, the youth were able to turn that knowledge into a real-world experience by seeing processes, technologies, and daily activities in action.

In the morning, the group visited the Technology areas, including the Development Laboratories, Flexible Packaging and Narrow Web Application Laboratories, Quality Control, GAN, and Technical Service. In the afternoon, they explored key Supply Chain Management operations, including Warehousing, Shipping, and Production.

The day concluded in the Administrative Department with an interactive business simulation activity. Participants worked in teams representing competing companies and were challenged to calculate costs, define product pricing, make sales decisions, and evaluate business results. Siegwerk employees acted as customers, creating a dynamic and engaging environment that combined learning, teamwork, and fun.

More than just a company visit, this experience was made possible through the collective engagement of people across the organization. Employees from various departments contributed their time, knowledge, and dedication to create a welcoming and enriching experience. The impact was evident in the enthusiasm of the young visitors, who left the company impressed with everything they had learned. They were deeply grateful for the warm reception they received.
