Siegwerk Brazil′s Juntos Sabemos Mais! series continues with Packaging seminar

On June 11, the participants of the program Juntos Sabemos Mais! immersed themselves in the fascinating world of Packaging at the SOS Children′s Village in São Paulo, Brazil.

Siegwerkers João Marcelino, InHouse Manager; Rebeca Pinheiro, Sales Administration Analyst and Ronaldo Oliveira, InHouse Analyst, led a true journey through the history of the development of packaging over the centuries. The youngsters from SOS learned about everything from the first resources used by humanity – such as leaves and shells to store food – to current solutions, which combine innovation, technology and sustainability to meet the needs of consumers and companies.

During the lecture, the concept of the DNA of packaging was also presented, showing that packaging goes far beyond its function of protecting products. Participants reflected on essential questions such as: what is the identity of the product?, who is its target audience?, how to communicate value and quality?, and what message we want to convey through design and presentation?.

To make the experience even more enriching, the young people had the opportunity to get to know different types of packaging up close which were produced with varied materials and processes, in addition to exchanging ideas and curiosities about their characteristics and applications.

More than learning about the evolution of packaging, participants were able to understand how creativity, strategy and innovation go together to create solutions that are part of our daily lives. Experiences like this reinforce the power of shared knowledge and inspire new generations to see opportunities, develop new perspectives, and build the future with even more purpose.
