Siegwerk Brazil organizes warm clothing campaign as winter sets in

Brazil

In May Siegwerk Brazil started its Warm Clothing Campaign. With the onset of winter in the southern hemisphere, the early date of the campaign came so that there would be enough time to collect the warm clothes and deliver them to the homeless before the arrival of the most severe cold weather. Donations were collected throughout the month of May, and the Solidarity Social Fund collected the coats in June at the Siegwerk site.

As in the last year, the collection of winter clothes at Siegwerk is aimed to collaborate with the municipal campaign Aquece Diadema. The Solidarity Social Fund collects donations throughout the year, but in May, with the expectation of a gradual drop in temperature, the mobilization for the warm clothing campaign begins to intensify.

“Donating clothes, or even socks and hats, may seem like a very simple gesture, especially when we donate those items that we no longer use, and that is why some people may not be in the habit of donating. Therefore, Siegwerk Brazil believes in the importance of carrying out this campaign every year, to remind employees that clothes that are no longer used by some can be of great value to others. Siegwerk encourages its employees to participate in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) campaigns like this, thus bringing a little warmth and care  to those who need this attention,” said Christian de Almeida, General Director of Siegwerk Brazil.
