Emergency management declares fire extinguished

The emergency management has now officially declared the fire extinguished. The fire originated in an ink production building located on the factory premises. The cause is still unclear and is being further investigated.

All-clear: Fire extinguished in Siegwerk – one injured person, all clear for the neighborhood

The fire in the Siegwerk plant has been extinguished in the interim. Among the emergency personell there is one injured person from the Siegwerk plant fire department team. The fire had started in an ink production building located on the plant premises. The cause is still unclear and is under further investigation.

In the meantime, measurements on the Siegburg plant site have shown that there was no health hazard at any time, only an odor nuisance. The all-clear can therefore be given for the neighborhood. Residents had been advised to avoid the area. Windows and doors may now be opened again.

All-clear

All-clear: For reasons as yet unknown, a fire broke out in a production hall at the Siegburg site at around 2:45 pm. During the initial response, one firefighter was injured. The fire department was on the scene immediately and was able to prevent further spread. The fire has now been extinguished. Windows and doors can be opened again.

For reasons as yet unknown, a fire broke out in a production hall at the Siegburg site at around 2:45 pm. The plant fire department is working together with external crews. The plant management will keep you informed about further developments.
