Bechtle Verlag&Druck in German Esslingen has won this year’s Siegwerk Award, becoming the “Newspaper Printer of the Year 2009.” At the presentation of the Print&Media Awards in Berlin, the jury praised the “very homogenous print image” of Bechtle’s newspaper products. The award, sponsored by Siegwerk, is an important prize in the printing industry and was presented for the fifth time this year. The Hamburg trade magazine “Druck&Medien” awards it to companies that achieve outstanding performance in the German printing and media industry.
More than 600,000 newspapers are printed at Bechtle on the banks of the river Neckar every day – both in the Rhineland and Nordic formats. Along with its subsidiary Bechtle Druck & Service the company offers numerous finishing variants. Customers benefit from a fully integrated content management system, fully automatic image processing and automatic advertisement and magazine production - along with all the established shipping and logistics solutions. The jury praised that Bechtle Verlag & Druck strives to adapt to its customers’ demands on a continuous basis.
