Led by various colleagues, depending on the organization involved, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) actions currently being undertaken by the Morganton team are in line with Siegwerk’s corporate objective of supporting children, young adults and people in need. Here is a short overview of the projects currently being undertaken by Siegwerkers from Morganton:

Habitat for Humanity of Burke County: Habitat for Humanity builds homes for those in need. Siegwerkers and their families volunteered six hours to help build a new home

Charity Golf Outing: This event benefits both Habitat for Humanity of Burke County and South Mountain Children’s Homes. Through Siegwerk’s participation in this charity event, the money raised goes to providing financial support for both non-profit organizations while also proving a fun day out.

Build a Backpack Program: This project provides local students in need with important school supplies. Siegwerkers volunteer their time to fill backpacks with donated supplies.

Give Cheese a Chance: This charity which holds a grilled cheese competition to name the best sandwich in Morganton. Siegwerk was a sponsor paying for the ingredients needed to make enough sandwiches for 300 people to try. Money raised from the event supports a local shelter for women and children.

Angel Tree: Siegwerkers purchase Christmas gifts for needy children in the Morganton area to help make their holidays a little brighter.

Holiday Food Drive: Collecting food donations for needy families for the holidays. The donated food is given to the local area food bank.

Make a Wish Foundation: Donation to the Make a Wish Foundation which grants wishes to seriously ill children. The Morganton site works with the Western North Carolina chapter.

Backpack Ministry:  A CSR project which provides a combination of money and time to fill backpacks with food for needy children. During school days meals are provided, however, when these children go home, or on the weekends and holidays they are not fed because their families cannot provide for them.
