Siegwerk UK made a financial donation to the local Burton Soup Kitchen. The money was raised through an employee raffle, which the company then matched
The Burton Soup Kitchen serves hot meals and drinks three times a week to area residents in need. A team of five volunteers start around 10:30 am to prepare food and set up and sanitize the dining room. The charity also offers toiletries, warm clothes, footwear and sleeping bags to the homeless and vulnerable.
Mick Cramp and Margaret Broadhurst from the charity said, “Thanks, your donation is very much appreciated.” They went on to say “that they often receive food donations, which they always appreciate, but when they have cash donations they are able to purchase things like Tupperware to be able to pack up meals for people to take away and the other things people do not think to donate.”
