Colors are passion, emotions and personality. At Siegwerk, inks and coatings are our specialty and we use color to bring the packaging and products of our customers to life.
In collaboration with Burke United Christian Ministries and the Second Harvest Food Bank in Morganton, North Carolina, Siegwerk volunteered to host a local food drive at its offices open to the public and Siegwerk employees. Siegwerk donated $500 to purchase the food from Second Harvest Food Bank that was passed out during the food drive.
Some of the items handed out included: mixed produce, pasta, canned goods, coffee, sandwiches and energy drinks. During the food drive, a total of 138 households with 500 total people were served. This included 21 members of military families.
Organizing the event were HR Coordinator, Sierra Whisenant and HR Manager, Jennifer Nicholes. In total, 18 Siegwerk employees volunteered in shifts to work the food drive which took place on March 24 from 10 am to 1 pm.
In preparation, approximately 300 boxes of mixed goods were created by our team in Morganton. This is great example of how Siegwerk and its employees are giving back to those less fortunate in the communities where we operate.
