Siegburg, Germany – March 17, 2026 — Siegwerk, one of the leading global providers of printing inks and coatings for packaging applications and labels, has just launched “HorizonNOW 2030”, the next phase of its sustainable business agenda. Building on the HorizonNOW strategy introduced in 2021, the updated agenda defines new ambitious and measurable goals to be achieved by 2030, reinforcing sustainability as a key pillar of Siegwerk’s overall business strategy.
With “FORMULA 2030,” the company recently unveiled its updated strategic agenda for the next five years, which aims, among other things, to further integrate responsible practices throughout the value chain. As part of this, HorizonNOW 2030 systematically embeds sustainability in the areas of procurement, operations and product innovation. All with the strategic goal of maintaining its leading position as enabler of sustainable packaging and making “sustainable packaging enabled by Siegwerk” a clear value proposition and differentiator for customers worldwide. “Sustainability is an integral part of how we create value, which reinforces the competitiveness of our customers and partners,” said Nicolas Wiedmann, CEO at Siegwerk. “HorizonNOW 2030 now connects every step of our business to a sustainable packaging future and supports our ambition to grow responsibly while enabling holistic sustainable packaging innovation. And being awarded the EcoVadis Gold Medal and the EcoVadis Sustainability Achievement Award for the ‘Best New Program’ once again shows that we are on the right track with our efforts.”
Three focus areas, eight ambitious goals
The backbone of HorizonNOW 2030 is Siegwerk’s commitment to driving sustainability throughout its entire value chain. The agenda is structured around three key areas and eight measurable goals to be achieved by 2030:
“HorizonNOW 2030 translates our sustainability ambition into clear priorities and measurable impact,” explained Alina Marm, Head of Global Sustainability at Siegwerk. “By sourcing responsibly, producing sustainably and developing products that enable circularity, we actively support our customers in making truly sustainable packaging a reality.”
Sustainability as a long-term responsibility
Aligned with its commitment to responsible business, Siegwerk views sustainability as a key driver of value creation that balances ecological, social and economic needs without compromising the resources of future generations. HorizonNOW 2030 strengthens this holistic approach by embedding sustainability priorities – from climate action and human rights to circular product innovation and inclusive workplaces – firmly into Siegwerk’s strategic agenda and thus into daily decision-making. Supported by clear targets, transparent measurement and strong governance, the agenda guides the company’s journey from sustainable intent to tangible impact across its global supply chain. “Our sustainability journey goes beyond targets – it’s about creating positive impact for our people, our partners and our planet,” added Marm. “HorizonNOW 2030 connects our ambitions to action and thus helps guide every part of our business toward a future-fit, circular packaging ecosystem.” By further developing this integrated sustainability agenda in close collaboration with customers, suppliers, and partners, Siegwerk continues to drive meaningful progress toward shared environmental and social goals, delivering holistic sustainable packaging solutions
