Siegwerk India donates children’s Covid ward to government hospital

On August 27, Siegwerk India donated an exclusive children’s Covid ward to the government hospital in Tijara, Rajasthan.

The ward is fully furnished with six beds and all the latest equipment to treat young covid patients who need special care and attention. The Siegwerk India Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team responded promptly to the request from the hospital for help in setting up the ward. The hospital currently sees  around 1,000 patients every day and equipment donated by Siegwerk will enable them to save many lives.

Earlier this year, Siegwerk India had donated equipment and medicines  to help villages around Bhiwadi in their battle against covid. This was in response to the rise in covid-related cases during the second wave of the pandemic, and in line with Siegwerk India’s strategy of  helping communities around the  Bhiwadi factory.

Siegwerk India CEO, Ramakrishna Karanth inaugurated the facility along with CFO, Ajit Singh; Bhiwadi Plant Site Head, Anup Panda; local government officials; hospital staff and the Siegwerk India CSR team.
