Siegwerk Ink Packaging Customer receives accolades at AFTA Awards 2005

TPN FlexPak from Thailand, a regional market leader in all kinds of printed flexible packagings for food and mass-produced consumer products has received gold and bronze accolades at the Asian Flexo Excellence Award 2005.

In both cases, Siegwerk ink systems were instrumental for the success of the awarded packaging products.Gold went to the ink series ZMR 163-5, a customized solution developed and produced in Thailand. The ink system Access Lam, originally developed by Sicpa France, received the bronze award.

Both ink systems feature an exceptionally good printing performance, especially under the demanding climatic conditions in Asia, high printing speed, high color intensity as well as very good values for compounding and solvent residue.

TPN FlexPak was established in 1999 and is being supplied by Siegwerk and Sicpa for the fourth year now. Understandably, Martin Wuits, Head of Technology Flexible Packaging Siegwerk Asia/Pacific, shares his customers’ excitement: “We are proud to have contributed to this achievement. Thanks to our expanded range of products and service we can now even better meet specific customer requirements. This is a strong confirmation for our successful engagement in the Asian growth markets.  At the same time, awards like these help us to position Siegwerk Ink Packaging as the leading brand for high quality flexible packaging ink.”

The ceremony took place for the fourth time during the annual meeting of the Asian Flexographic Technical Association (AFTA), this time in Kuala Lumpur/Malaysia end of October 2005. The annual Asian Flexo Excellence Award has been founded to recognize the outstanding achievement in the flexographic packaging industries across Asia. An independent jury of experts examines and judges the quality of the submitted packaging solutions.
