Siegwerk & ASA Color jointly sponsor seminar on emerging ink technologies

Scheduled for September 13, 2006 at the EDSA Shangri-La Plaza in Mandaluyong City, the seminar will cover a wide variety of topics, including the latest ink technologies: toluene-free ink technology for flexible packaging and UV ink systems for narrow web applications.

ASA Color’s founders, Jose Arbatin and Nazario Sta. Ana expect these two ink technologies, and other concerns related to them, to elicit the most interest among participants to the seminar.

In the seminar, by Dr. Chin Huat Tan, Head of Sheetfed, UV and Industrials Business Unit, Siegwerk Asia Pacific will present “The Latest Trends in UV Ink Technology”, while Stefan Benito, Head of Flexible Packaging, Siegwerk Asia Pacific, will discuss, “Worldwide Trends: Shifting to a Toluene-Free Printing System.”
Another major highlight of the seminar will be a presentation from a regional converter, Alcan Packaging Strongpack of Thailand. This will be represented by Mr.Rumpai Sukyanga, former Managing Director and concurrently Adviser to the Group.

Representatives from major converters/printers that serve the food industry as well as end-users like food manufacturers are expected to attend the presentation on toluene-free inks, while the UV ink seminar will be attended by most of the major label and sticker printers.
