Publication gravure inks

The product samples show how well Siegwerk publication gravure inks perform in print. Inks developed in this sector are mainly used for catalogs, magazines and brochures. Publication gravure inks need to adapt to different substrates or paper grades during printing, and must withstand strong mechanical impact during finishing. Depending on each printer’s needs, they can be either glossy or matt.
Siegwerk makes a wide range of special extenders to meet the special requirements of publication gravure printers. These include high gloss or extra-matt extenders for optimal gloss or matting development, and fast-drying extenders or surface hardeners to avoid ink film damage.

The “Golden Cylinder” awarded to Siegwerk in 2007 by the Gravure Association of America was given in recognition of the company’s success in developing inks that are highly concentrated, and also deliver superb economic performance thanks to their high pigmentation and dilutability.
