The Spirit of Synergy ...
is the motto for the print solutions that Bobst, Kemiart, DuPont and Siegwerk have developed since 1994. Each project combines specific expertise from press construction, substrates, plates and, of course, printing inks to create realistic applications that reflect the full potential of flexoprint.
In 2007, the specialist teams showed high-end solutions for corrugated board boxes to demonstrate the technical and qualitative opportunities of flexoprint: Create your own symphony!
2008: In the same way as football is able to bring team spirit and passion, the UNICOLOR inks exhibit multiple features which, when well-orchestrated, result in high-quality flexo post-printing and converting: Let’s play ball!

A clean solution ...
is what a leading manufacturer of paper sacks for dry dog food asked its business partners to deliver. The new ink series had to solve resolubility and cleaning issues once and for all. When the Siegwerk experts tested their solution on the customer’s eight-ink flexopress, it surpassed all expectations. The new water-based development prevents resolubility, yet still produces outstanding print quality – even at maximum print speeds. Unsurprisingly, the successful test run laid the foundation for closer cooperation.

Threefold efficiency ...
is the key to mass-producing paper napkins and kitchen towels successfully. That means efficient supply logistics, efficient printing and efficient purchasing – and UNISOFT delivers on all three counts.
Developed by the Siegwerk experts, UNISOFT is a modular system for flexo printing that combines high-concentration master batches with multifunctional extenders. Printers can order either a pigment paste with matching extender, or a readymade product. Available in process or on-line colors, this water-based ink series has already proved its versatility under a wide range of conditions – especially in the tissue paper market.
