Siegwerk has assumed a clear position on the subject of sustainability
Siegwerk meets these requirements worldwide. The company’s inks are available on all the key markets. Along with the essential technical support, of course – from the development phase in the laboratory all the way to the technical application at the printing machine.
Sometimes the Siegwerk experts know their customers need ink even before they themselves do. Using a computer-assisted remote query system, they are able to check the fill level of the ink tanks. And they get in touch proactively when the reserves are running low.
Whoever can deliver the goods gets the deal. That’s the way it was in the good old days. But today, the name of the game is different. Nowadays, whoever wants to deliver the goods has to put the right product with the desired properties through the presses at exactly the right moment in time. And to be sustainable.
The remote query is just one example of the many good ideas Siegwerk has for making its customers’ lives that bit easier. Ordering, production, delivery – these other “basics”, also apparently self-evident at first glance, have to be just right in order to build up and maintain mutually advantageous business relations.
Over and above that, there’s the very special way the Siegwerk staff support their customers worldwide. As befits a family enterprise, Siegwerk has a family way of doing things. And good customers are part of this global family. So it is that internationally active printing companies have a special member of the sales and distribution staff allocated to them, catering centrally to all their wishes. Regardless of what factory is concerned.

“The major worries our customers have are concerned with questions of food safety. Siegwerk is of great assistance to us there, because they take the subject very seriously, and support and supply us accordingly.”
Philipp Baumann, Vice President Base MaterialsTetraPak International (Switzerland)
That is exactly how the cooperation in the joint development and application of new inks and solutions functions as well. “One face to the customer” is the Siegwerk trademark on this matter, too. No customer need fear being sent back and forth. They each have their own individual contact person. That makes cooperation straightforward – and efficient for both sides.
Customer proximity also pays off well in another area with which the printing branch has recently been grappling intensively: sustainability. Siegwerk has taken up this latest challenge and, following up on a management decision to that effect, has committed itself to sustainable action.
